We hope you’ll consider applying to become a member of the Benevolent and Protective orders of the Elks. Our organization is based on these principles: Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love and Fidelity; a belief in God; the spirit of American patriotism; a commitment to serve our community through our programs that demonstrate our motto, “Elks Care and Elks Share.”

To be eligible for membership in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, you must be a citizen of the United States who is at least 21 years of age or older and a believer in God.

You must be sponsored by a member of the Torrington Elks Lodge #372. After your proposer fills in their required portion of the application you will then be given the application for completion.

Your application will be forwarded to the Investigating Committee, who will call you and set up a time for you to meet with the committee for an interview and the indoctrination which is where you will learn more about our programs and charities. You will then be invited to Class Night which is where you’ll be initiated into our Order.

We encourage our members to volunteer when they can. Volunteering isn’t mandatory but we think you’ll find it enjoyable and a great way to meet fellow Elks.

We look forward to receiving your application.
